Throughout her journey as an artist, the Derry (Northern Ireland) born producer and DJ has consistently strived to escape categorisation through a preference to follow her intuition and passion for traversing tempos and moods, over any particular genre.
With this chameleonic approach to her DJ sets she is attracting a strong fan base and gaining her a BBC Radio 1 Residency, an Essential mix, and ‘Best DJ’ award from DJ Mag.
From running DIY parties in abandoned shops whilst studying in Liverpool, to securing some of the best club residences around the world, Or:la's story is organic and authentic.
As the boss of (former) Deep Sea Frequency and her current label, Céad, Or:la's DIY mentality continues to extend beyond the DJ booth, nurturing a community of diverse artists who share her love for drum-heavy, textured dance music.
